N is for Nagging
The Nagging Goose
A goose wants the pond kept perfect and tells everybody how to do it. One by one, her friends stop coming.
What happens in it
You choose what she says. Every scolding sentence drains the pond a step; every kind one fills it back up — so you can see what her words did without reading a score.
Choose her words
1. Speak to friends. Two sentences appear. Tap the one she says — the red one scolds, the green one is kind.
2. Be a word catcher. Two balloons fall at once and she can run to only one. Catch the kind word before it lands.
3. Will friends come back? She is alone at the willow with three heads peeping out. Invite them or send them away, then speak to each one in turn.
The pond is the meter: it drains when she scolds and fills when she is kind.
Tap a balloon or a button.

Why nagging is one of the twenty-six
Sing Me a Fable is an alphabet of faults, one for every letter, from Aggression to Zealotry. N is nagging, and this is the playable half of that fable: the child makes the choice the animal makes, and watches what it costs. Nobody explains the moral afterwards, which is the whole point of a fable and the reason the form has lasted two and a half thousand years.
Every letter has one: twenty-six fables, twenty-six faults, twenty-six games. See the whole arcade, or take the twenty-six colouring posters and Find the Error sheets free.
